Personal Exposure Reporting System

As another means to assist members, your Union has introduced an electronic Personal Exposure Reporting (PER) system to record harmful exposures at incidents.
All information is kept on a secure database linked to your membership record, so that at any time in the future you will be able to access all recorded exposures. As a number of diseases and illnesses have a long latent onset period, the records could prove vital in assisting you with a WorkCover claim many years down the track.
Additionally, the database will provide the Union with raw data of the number of exposures experienced by firefighters, which will assist us in our push for presumptive cancer legislation. The information recorded remains the property of the Union and its members, and no individual details will ever be provided to anyone other than the individual member.
The PER does not replace the internal QFRS reporting requirements (SHE) or WorkCover reporting of injuries. The PER simply provides an additional record for the exclusive use of a member.
To access, go to the Members Area on the left side bar and click on "Personal Exposure Report" You will need to use your Members Forum log-in details. Once that is done, there is an additional level of security. You will need to put your badge number in both sections. On your first access, you will be required to change your password. Make sure you remember this new password as you will need it each time in the future.
For full instructions on how to use the PER, click here.
I encourage members to take advantage of the PER system. It is designed to assist you.
